Level50

The level of a character is used to determine their stats, Damage and Health, along with promotions. Characters level up by gaining experience, which is awarded by completing matches (in either Standard Battle, Online Battle or Survivor Mode) or by applying Character XP augments.

A character's level starts at 1 and caps at 50. Without any other modifiers (including promotions or support cards), gold cards gain 20% of their base health per level; also, they gain 20% of their base damage per level up to level 10, after which they gain 10% per level. This amounts to 680% (or 6.8x) of their base damage and 1080% (or 10.8x) of their base health at level 50.

At level 50, a silver card reaches 580% of their base damage and 1080% of their base health.

As of the 2.13 update, the maximum level a character can obtain is 60. It appears that at release, this is only after unlocking it in Breakthrough Mode, but was later patched to be achievable without doing so.

Standard Battle and Challenge ModeEdit

These matches all have a suggested "Level X - Y" range in their description. While even level 1 characters can get full XP from any match, characters with a level that is deemed too high will receive rapidly diminishing experience. For example, Bonus Battle 6 has "Level 31 - 40":

For characters under level 44, Bonus Battle 6 gives 171782 (25532 + 38376 + 38454 + 38532 + 30888) XP in total, making it a great way to level your characters while earning Power Credits.

Online BattleEdit

Characters will receive a moderate amount of experience regardless of stats.

SurvivorEdit

Only character(s) on the team with the highest level (or close to it) will gain full experience (roughly 5000~8500, depending on stats and match). Below it, experience rapidly declines to a minimum of 1/10 of full experience, similar, but inverse, to standard and challenge matches. This is very useful for keeping certain cards within a good level range to maintain a balanced team, such as The Flash/Metahuman, who has a very balanced and decently high base stats.

TriviaEdit

  • Before Injustice 2.0, or the "Multiplayer Update" was released, the original level cap was 40.
  • Prior to 2.13, hackers in Online Battles can be seen with cards at Elite X and level 99, although their stats are still capped at Elite VII level 50.
